Author. Editor. Poet.

After Beverly McCoy graduated with a B.A. in English, she continued to pursue education by taking linguistics courses on the postgraduate level in Indiana. Later, as an ex-pat mom living in Jerusalem, she published over 30 poems in various American periodicals, studied Modern Hebrew, and began a part-time career of contract editing for Israeli professors of Bible who were publishing in English, as well as for the Dead Sea Scrolls series for Oxford University. In 1990, she moved back to the U.S. and was employed as a full-time editor in a Christian publishing firm in Indiana until her retirement. She continues to edit part-time during her retirement as well as write for publication. One of her vivid memories of Jerusalem is the nighttime fragrance of jasmine growing outside the entrance of Tantur near Bethlehem.
